Designed by Thomas C. Johnson for Winchester Repeating Arms, with the M1903 being produced c.1903-32 and the M63 c.1933-58 - serial numbers 25210 and 41701.
.22 Winchester Automatic and .22 Long Rifle respectively, 10-round tubular magazine with a loading gate cut in the stock, blowback semi-automatic design.

The Model 1903 rifle was Winchester’s first commercially available self-loading firearm, and featured many similar visual elements as their more famous lever guns. The gun’s action used a balanced breech block tuned to Winchester’s proprietary round, which required a slight redesign when it was switched to the overwhelmingly more popular .22 LR in the 1930′s.
Also note the progression from Lyman sights to a fancy new scope. What will they invent next.
